REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Backstage.cam

1. Introduction

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, refunds, billing adjustments, chargebacks, and payment disputes are handled when you access or use Backstage.cam and the digital content service made available through that website, referred to in this Policy as the “Service.”

The Service is operated and administered by Influencestage Ltd, a company registered in Hong Kong under registration number 76319550, with its registered office at Room 1305, 13/F, Hollywood Centre, 233 Hollywood Road, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong.

In this Policy, “Backstage,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Influencestage Ltd in relation to the operation and administration of the Service, and to the relevant Applicable Backstage Entity where a matter relates to a purchase, subscription, one-off paid access, payment, refund, chargeback, receipt, invoice, or other transaction-related matter. Where the context requires, these terms may refer to both.

Depending on the relevant customer, product, territory, transaction, payment method, or payment flow, another Backstage group entity may also be involved as the applicable seller, merchant of record, receipt or invoice issuer, entity responsible for refunds or chargebacks, or payment-related contracting entity. The Backstage group entity responsible for the relevant purchase, subscription, one-off paid access, payment, refund, chargeback, receipt, invoice, or other transaction-related matter is referred to in this Policy as the “Applicable Backstage Entity.” The current Backstage group entities that may act as an Applicable Backstage Entity are identified in our Terms of Service and, where relevant, in the applicable checkout flow, receipt or invoice, or transaction-specific disclosures.

This Policy applies to purchases, subscriptions, one-off paid access, and other paid digital content access made available through the Service. This Policy forms part of our Terms of Service and should be read together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and any other policy or notice that applies to the Service or transaction.

Nothing in this Policy limits any mandatory consumer protection rights that may apply under the laws of your country of residence.

2. Digital Content Access

The Service provides access to digital content. Access may be provided through subscriptions, one-off paid access, or other paid digital content access made available through the Service.

Digital content is generally made available immediately upon purchase, subscription activation, or completion of the applicable payment flow, unless otherwise stated in the Service or applicable checkout flow.

Because digital content is delivered electronically and access may begin immediately, cancellation and refund rules may differ from those that apply to physical goods.

3. Subscriptions

3.1 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, unless cancelled before the applicable renewal date.

By subscribing, you authorize the relevant Applicable Backstage Entity, directly or through its payment processor, to charge your selected payment method for each billing period until cancellation.

3.2 Cancellation by the User

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or any other cancellation method made available through the Service.

Unless otherwise stated in the applicable checkout flow or required by law, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You may continue to have access to the relevant subscription content until the end of that billing period.

Subscription fees are generally billed in advance and are not automatically refunded for unused time in a billing period, unless required by applicable law or approved under this Policy.

3.3 Failed Payments

If a subscription payment fails, we may attempt to charge your payment method again, request that you update your payment method, suspend or restrict subscription access, or cancel the subscription.

4. One-Off Paid Access

One-off paid access provides access to specific digital content made available through the Service.

Access is generally granted immediately upon purchase or completion of the applicable payment flow, unless otherwise stated in the Service or applicable checkout flow.

One-off paid access is generally not refundable once access has been provided, unless required by applicable law or approved under this Policy.

5. Refunds

5.1 Contact Support First

If you experience a technical issue, billing error, access issue, unintended renewal, unauthorized charge, or other legitimate concern with a purchase, subscription, or one-off paid access, you should contact Backstage support so the issue can be reviewed and resolved.

We aim to resolve legitimate customer concerns promptly, including through refunds, billing adjustments, or other appropriate solutions where appropriate.

5.2 Refunds

The relevant Applicable Backstage Entity may provide a refund, billing adjustment, or other resolution where appropriate, including in cases of:

(a) technical issues that prevent access to purchased content;

(b) billing errors, duplicate charges, or processing errors;

(c) unauthorized or clearly mistaken charges;

(d) access issues that cannot reasonably be resolved;

(e) subscription renewal issues reported promptly after billing;

(f) content that materially differs from its description; or

(g) other legitimate customer concerns reviewed and approved by us.

Refunds are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We may consider the nature of the issue, timing of the request, account history, content access, transaction history, payment status, fraud-prevention signals, and applicable legal requirements.

Nothing in this Policy creates an automatic, unconditional, or guaranteed right to a refund, except where required by applicable law.

5.3 Statutory Consumer Rights

If mandatory consumer protection laws apply to your transaction, those laws may provide additional cancellation, withdrawal, refund, price reduction, restoration of access, correction of digital content, or other rights.

Where applicable law gives you a statutory right of withdrawal or cancellation for digital content, that right will apply in accordance with applicable law. Where permitted by law, immediate access to digital content may affect or end withdrawal rights if you expressly request immediate access and acknowledge the consequences in the applicable checkout flow.

6. Refund Method and Processing

Approved refunds are generally issued to the original payment method used for the transaction, unless otherwise required by law or determined by the relevant Applicable Backstage Entity or payment service provider.

Where a refund is approved, we generally aim to refund the full amount charged for the relevant transaction.

Refund timing may depend on the payment service provider, card network, bank, or financial institution involved.

7. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

7.1 Contact Support First

If you believe a charge is incorrect, unauthorized, duplicated, or disputed, you should contact Backstage support before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.

Many billing, subscription, access, or content-related issues can be reviewed and resolved promptly through support, including through refunds or billing adjustments where appropriate.

7.2 Chargeback Review

The relevant Applicable Backstage Entity reserves the right to investigate, contest, and respond to any chargeback, payment dispute, reversal, or refund request initiated through a payment provider, card network, bank, or financial institution.

We may provide transaction records, access records, account records, refund records, support communications, technical logs, fraud-prevention information, and other relevant information where necessary or appropriate to respond to a chargeback, payment dispute, or payment-related inquiry.

7.3 Abuse of Chargebacks or Payment Disputes

If we determine that a chargeback, payment dispute, refund request, or reversal is fraudulent, abusive, made in bad faith, or connected to misuse of the Service or violation of our Terms of Service, Influencestage Ltd may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account, restrict access to content or Service features, and the relevant Applicable Backstage Entity may refuse further refunds, contest the dispute, or take other transaction-related action permitted by law.

8. Fraud, Abuse, and Misuse

Refunds or billing adjustments may be refused where we determine that a request is fraudulent, abusive, made in bad faith, or connected to:

(a) misuse of the Service;

(b) unauthorized account access caused by your failure to protect your account credentials;

(c) use of unauthorized, stolen, or third-party payment methods without proper authorization;

(d) repeated refund requests or chargeback activity;

(e) violation of our Terms of Service or applicable policies; or

(f) attempts to access content without paying or to circumvent payment, subscription, security, or access controls.

9. Account Closure and Cancellation

If you close your account while you have an active subscription, future renewals will be cancelled, unless otherwise stated in the Service or required by applicable law.

Account closure does not automatically entitle you to a refund for prior purchases, one-off paid access, subscription periods, or other paid digital content access, unless required by applicable law or approved under this Policy.

We may retain records relating to transactions, refunds, chargebacks, payment disputes, fraud prevention, security, legal claims, tax, accounting, and legal requirements in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Service, our refund practices, payment processes, legal requirements, or operational practices.

Where required by applicable law, or where changes are material, we may notify you by email, through the Service, by posting a notice, or by other appropriate means.

The updated Policy will apply when it is made available through the Service, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
